LAVA brings latest Android Jelly Bean in sleek and stylish Iris smartphones

INDIA: Lava International Ltd has launched two new phones in its IRIS range of smartphones – IRIS 405 and IRIS 455. Both the phones come with the latest Android Jelly Bean operating system, support FOTA upgrade and are 3G enabled for video calling.

FOTA (firmware over the air) function allows the phone system software to be upgraded wirelessly. The process is easy and eliminates the need of the user to visit a service center to get the latest upgrades for his phone.

Both the phones are powered by a 1 Ghz dual core processor that enables multitasking and have 4GB internal storage which is expandable using microSD cards. The 455 has a stunning 4.5-inch full capacitive multi-touch screen with 960 x 540 pixels resolution whereas the IRIS 405 comes with a crystal clear 4-inch display (800 x 480 pixels). This powerful hardware works seamlessly with Android 4.1 OS, providing the consumer with unmatched performance.

In terms of camera, the IRIS 405 and IRIS 455 both come with a 5MP rear autofocus camera with LED flash and a front VGA camera. On the IRIS 455, the camera has face detection, panorama and HDR mode. On the IRIS 405, the camera has 8X digital zoom, image stabilization and zero shutter lag. Connectivity features such as WiFi and Bluetooth are present on both smartphones.

With an aim to provide the most intuitive android experience, Lava has preloaded a number of useful apps on both the phones. Saavn and Fusion are present for music lovers to be able to listen to their favorite songs whenever required. Hike and Facebook make it easy to stay connected with friends. Lava’s own Lava Zone application provides the users with option to download songs, videos, and wallpapers directly on to the device.

The IRIS 405 is priced at Rs. 7,499 and the IRIS 455 is priced at Rs. 8,699.
