Registration opens for Uplinq 2012 Mobile Developers conference

SAN DIEGO, USA: Qualcomm Inc. announced that registration for the Uplinq 2012 developers conference is now open at www.uplinq.com. Uplinq 2012 will provide software developers a cross-platform view of how to exploit the complete hardware-software systems in today's leading mobile devices, while fostering the business connections essential to making money in mobile.

The conference will be held June 27-28, 2012 – with a pre-conference Mobile CodeFest and Hackathon on June 26 for hardcore coders – at the Hilton San Diego Bayfront hotel and will cover the Android, Windows Phone, HTML5 and Brew platforms.

"Uplinq is the one annual mobile developers conference that provides developers insights, tools and resources to help them be successful as they target multiple platforms – from operating systems to device types and wireless networks," said Rob Chandhok, senior VP of software strategy for Qualcomm and president of Qualcomm Internet Services.

"Uplinq is known for the high percentage of its content that is delivered by industry leaders across the ecosystem, including OEMs, operators and developers. The 2012 conference will again provide attendees with extensive programming from key third parties in the wireless ecosystem."

Uplinq 2012 sessions will cover such topics as Enabling the Next Generation of Web Apps, Driving Consumer Engagement with Augmented Reality, Multiplayer Mobile Gaming, and Computer Vision for Mobile. Super sessions will cover such topics as How Hardware/Software Integration Addresses Developer Needs in Mobile.

The Mobile CodeFest will cover such topics as Snapdragon tools for building augmented reality apps, creating peer-to-peer experiences with the AllJoyn software development framework, developing cutting-edge 3D graphics and gaming applications that make the most of Snapdragon's Adreno GPU and writing Web apps with Qualcomm's Web API extensions.

Qualcomm is offering a 30 percent discount from the full conference price of $375 through March 16th. The price includes registration for the pre-conference Mobile CodeFest and Hackathon on June 26th, while space lasts.
