2012 International CES, LAS VEGAS, USA: TruConnect Mobile LLC announced its Manage My MiFi app for Android, iOS, Mac and PC that will allow users of any MiFi Intelligent Mobile Hotspot by Novatel Wireless to monitor 3G data usage in real-time.
TruConnect developed the Manage My MiFi app to provide users with greater control over their own data consumption, whether on the company’s pay-as-you-go plan or to avoid overage charges on other carriers’ contract-based plans.
The app is now available for download and is on display at the 2012 International CES tradeshow this week in Las Vegas, Nevada in booth #25718 (South Hall 2).
Manage My MiFi is a small, simple-to-install app that monitors and reports real-time MiFi data usage. It provides a real-time graph of the actual data rate and real-time MiFi status reporting on signal strength, battery strength, roaming indicator and current mobile network. The Manage My MiFI app also provides real-time session status on total session usage, total session cost, session duration and the number of devices connected during the session.
TruConnect Mobile, launched in September 2011, is changing the way users think about mobile data by offering a mobile data service for laptops and tablets that costs only $4.99 per month and 3.9 cents per megabyte.
“The average MiFi user consumes less than 300 MB of data per month, yet many continue to pay for the high-priced carrier data plan out of fear of going over,” said Kevin Hamilton, president and CEO of TruConnect. “We’re changing that market dynamic with the TruConnect service, and this app gives our users the ability to monitor their data usage and the comfort of knowing that usage will not get out of hand, unless they let it. The app also gives non-TruConnect customers the knowledge needed to take control of their data usage and choose a solution that best fits their lifestyle.”
The app is available now as a free download in the iTunes app store, Amazon Appstore and Android Market. The Mac version can be downloaded from www.managemymifi.com. The PC version of the app will be available on the same website later this month.
