IPWireless utilizes Lantiq and Altair solutions for next gen LTE end user devices

MUNICH, NEUBIBERG, GERMANY & HOD HASHARON, ISRAEL: Lantiq, a leading supplier of broadband access and home networking technologies, and Altair Semiconductor, a leading developer of ultra-low power, small footprint and high performance 4G LTE chipsets, announced that IPWireless has selected the solution, combining Lantiq's XWAY GRX168 network processor with Altair's FourGee LTE chipset.

IPWireless, a pioneer in developing and designing 3G and 4G wireless broadband and broadcast solutions, will integrate the Lantiq/Altair solution to deliver broadband wireless LTE to home gateways, such as routers and CPE designs.

Since Lantiq and Altair announced collaboration last year, interest in the companies' solutions has been very strong, with numerous customers around the world leveraging the technology. By using Lantiq's XWAY GRX family of premier home network processors with Altair Semiconductor's commercial LTE chipset, customers such as IPWireless can significantly speed time-to-market for LTE CPE equipment.
