PARIS, FRANCE: Httv, an end-to-end ITV solutions provider, announced the integration of its httvBOX middleware STB turnkey solution with Sigma Designs' chipset. The httvBOX, on display at Sigma Designs' booth (#277) at the IP&TV World Forum, provides an advanced and cost-effective solution for the hybrid market.
HttvBox is an embedded software solution for connected TVs and STBs available for all TV distribution platforms from pure broadcast (DVB-T/T2/ S/S2/ C front-ends) to pure IP (IPTV, OTT) and everything in between. The product offers a range of features including innovative user based profile UI (adult vs. child UI), complete, nonlinear TV services (Push0VOD, catch-up TV) and enhanced EPG personalized video mosaic.
A leading provider of HbbTV (Hybrid Broadcast Broadband TV), httv helped develop the fast-growing European standard and now brings its expertise to Sigma Designs through integration of this standard on the SMP8670 chipset.
