Geodesic has strong partnerships with some of the world’s largest and most prestigious companies across key vertical markets, including telecommunications carriers, handset manufacturers, consumer electronics manufacturers, and computer and electronics manufacturers. A sample list of customers includes BenQ, Entel PCS, IDEA Cellular, Medion AG, Mitac, and PALM.

One of the top 10 most popular applications in the Nokia Ovi Store, Mundu Radio is an Internet radio solution for mobile phones, PDA and Pocket PC handsets that offers consumers access to miRoamer’s tens of thousands “unique” Internet radio stations.

Mundu Radio consists of a client-side application that is installed on the handset and allows the user to select and playback streams from existing Internet radio stations as well as a server-side component that manages the personalization of the stations for the user. Geodesic’s Mundu Radio client is available for more than 100 popular handsets based on J2ME, Symbian Series 60, Windows Mobile and Palm OS platforms.

“Geodesic’s deep expertise in mobile communication applications, coupled with miRoamer’s award-winning media platform, creates a powerful offering for wireless carriers looking to utilize 3G bandwidth, while increasing ARPU,” said Arvind Venkateswaran, senior vice president and general manager, Geodesic. “As carriers are looking for ways to capitalize on the big push into the mobile entertainment market right now, our Mundu Radio application enables them to increase ARPU through increased data and SMS usage.”
