AKAI unveils full touch-screen phone 6611

NEW DELHI, INDIA: In a move to continue driving innovation in its market, AKAI Mobiles, a division of one of the largest Japanese consumer electronics brand with eight decades of lineage, AKAI India, unveiled their stylish and slim dual SIM 6611 touch screen phone.

As AKAI’s touch phone, the 6611 allows users to tap quickly on the bright color touch screen, for quick fire text messages and phone calls. The 7.62cm (3”) WQVGA full touch screen has 3.2 megapixel camera with flash light and digital zoom for better picture quality. The main USP of the phone is the social networking tools with Facebook, Twitter, Opera Mini, Gmail, and Yahoo Messenger with e-mail and JAVA support. The phone also has photo editor which makes editing pictures easier and faster.

Pranay Dhabhai, MD, AKAI India, said: “The launch of 6611 based on dual SIM platform is consistent with our policy of offering sleek and feature rich smart phones to our customers. We have designed the 6611 to be a touch device because touch is ideal for functions such as setting alarms, smooth browsing and controlling applications like music and games. We understand that consumers these days are tech savvy and want to stay connected 24 x 7 through social networking sites and hence we have incorporated the feature in our new offering.”

The mobile phone is WAP/GPRS; Edge enabled and has phonebook and SMS backup in memory card. The phone comes with 3.5 mm audio jack and has expandable memory upto16GB with Bluetooth (A2DP). The phone is fully loaded with all the entertainment features like wireless FM and recording with equalizer modes, Video Player and Recording, USB, Modem support and 3D surround sound. The phone has in-built phone tracker, black list to block unwanted callers and answering machine.

The phone is available in the market for Rs. 3,900/
