Ethertronics offers unique solutions for LTE-enabled notebooks

SAN DIEGO, USA: Ethertronics, a leading technology company enabling the future direction of mobile communications via its portfolio of antenna and RF solutions, unveiled the Ether 1.2 product line.

Designed to enable LTE notebook computers to support the frequencies required for global operation and specification compliance, the Ether 1.2 product line combines years of experience with Ethertronics’ patented IMDTM antenna design and several advanced antenna system techniques, including active band switching capabilities. The result is a high-performance system that can meet global carrier specifications in any of the challenging industrial designs that exist for modern LTE notebooks.

"The Ether 1.2 product line has some unique attributes that meet the needs of both notebook OEMs and global wireless carriers in the LTE market,” said Barry Matsumori, chief marketing and strategy officer for Ethertronics. “It is no secret that some of the bands for LTE, especially those in North America, significantly expand the requirements for the antenna system. Our new product line meets these challenges by providing an LTE solution that doesn’t compromise performance or efficiency, and all in a compact design.”

The Ether 1.2 products consist of a thin and narrow antenna structure that will fit in the most challenging notebook display bezels alongside important active components such as switches. The product line is available for integration into LTE notebooks now.
