TAIWAN: The MUC TrendTracker has released a report titled: The Worldwide Enterprise Desktop IP Phone Market and Taiwan's Industry, 2010-2015.
In 2010, the adoption of enterprise desktop IP phones and corresponding applications significantly increased due to several factors, including the general recovery in the global economy, thereby boosting market demand for desktop IP phones; the near completion of all-IP network architecture; the popularization of IP phone-related applications, and the emergence of hosting service which helps enterprises reduce costs incurred from directly investing in IP phones.
Due to increasing enterprise orders, individual branded vendors witnessed significant growth in 2010. Of all branded vendors, Cisco and Avaya continued their market dominance well into 2010, shouldering over 60 percent of the total enterprise desktop IP phone shipment in 2010.Source: MIC, Taiwan.
