Barcoding Inc. streamlines technical resources and strengthens capabilities

BALTIMORE, USA: Barcoding Inc., a leader in enterprise-wide mobility solutions, has enhanced its technical resources and strengthened its capabilities with the promotion of Martin Jack to CTO.

Going forward, all technical resources will be consolidated under Jack’s management, creating a streamlined, integrated approach to Barcoding’s service offerings and business endeavors. In addition, as part of the company’s continued effort to promote and accommodate business growth, Barcoding has also hired Jeff Bateman as Controller, and added Kyle Gold and Christopher Goodman as Executive Account Managers.

“Promoting Martin Jack to CTO was a strategic move to ensure that our technical team is equipped with the necessary resources to best-serve our customers,” said Jeff Gillis, COO, Barcoding. “As Barcoding continues to experience significant company growth, it is vital that our staff works efficiently and collaboratively to maintain client relationships and offer the most cutting-edge mobile solutions. We are eager to have Martin lead our tech platform, and welcome Jeff, Kyle and Chris to Barcoding.”

In his new role as CTO, Jack will be the external face of Barcoding’s Technology Platform, where he will identify, develop and integrate new technologies. He will oversee all professional services, and ensure that Barcoding’s technology strategy complements its business strategy. With almost 20 years of experience in mobile and wireless software engineering, Jack came to Barcoding in 2007 as the director of software services. Previously, Jack served as president and chief software engineer at Point of Activity, Inc., which he founded in 1999 as JackCreations, LLC. He began his career as a software engineer for mobile computers in 1991. Jack earned a master’s degree in software engineering from the University of Maryland, College Park.

As Barcoding’s Controller, Bateman is responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including budgeting, accounting policies and procedures, and compliance. Prior to coming to Barcoding, Bateman spent five years as Controller for Protech Associates Inc., and held several additional financial positions for companies in a wide variety of industries Bateman holds bachelor’s degrees in accounting/finance and business administration from the University of Baltimore.
