CHELMSFORD, USA: The WhiteSpace Alliance (WSA), a global industry organization enabling sharing of underutilized spectrum, announced that its members will be featured speakers at the Spectrum Futures Conference in Singapore in October, 2014.
The new conference, hosted by the Pacific Telecommunications Council, will focus upon the latest developments in the use of spectrum for Internet access in Asia and Oceania with a particular focus on South and Southeast Asia. Spectrum Futures will feature briefings by country regulators and platform suppliers about innovations in the use of unlicensed, shared and licensed spectrum to support rapid deployment of Internet access.
The conference will take place 29-30 October, 2014, at the Arts House in Singapore.
“Southern Asia represents a rapidly growing market for shared spectrum solutions”, said Dr. Apurva N. Mody, chairman of WhiteSpace Alliance. “Our broad ecosystem of members has strong Asian representation and knowhow regarding whitespace technology implementation. Many of our members have participated in spectrum sharing trials in countries such as Singapore, Japan, and the Philippines.”
