NEW DELHI, INDIA: CMAI is hosting the 14th Asian Telecom & Information Exchange Forum (ATIE) on 2 December, 2009 at New Delhi. ATIE is being held successfully since 1995 in all the Asian countries and the last event was held in 2008 Japan. The 14th ATIE is being held in India for the first time and hosted by CMAI.
The ATIE would be inaugurated by Vinod Vaish, Former Secretary DOT and former Member TDSAT. Several prominent telecom industry leaders would be making presentations on this occasion. This includes Arun Seth, Chairman BT India; Promod Saxena, MD Oxigen; Umang Dass, MD, SREI, etc.
The major objective of the ATIE Forum is to exchange ideas and experiences of ICT field among participating associations in the Asian region. The forum also aims to promote further development of the telecommunications and information industries through mutual co-operation and to address issues like the liberalization of the industry, the emergence of wireless and multi-media communication among others.
President of National Apex Telecom and IT organizations from Japan, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Taiwan, etc., along with business representatives from these countries, would be present on this occasion and would make presentations on the updated scenario of IT and telecom in these respective countries.
CMAI earlier also hosted the World Electronic Forum in India.
