Telebyte releases industry’s first noise solution for testing VDSL2 vectoring devices

USA: Telebyte Inc. announced another breakthrough in VDSL2 Vectoring layer 1 testing equipment with the release of the Model VxT-N48 48-Channel AWGN Generator/Injector. The unique product generates or injects the noises needed for more realistic testing of next-generation vectoring-enabled devices.

The Model VxT-N48 is designed to interface between CO or CPE equipment and the Telebyte VxT-48 xTalk Emulator for VDSL2 Vectoring Testing. It will generate 48 channels of built-in, uncorrelated, AWGN or inject up to 48 correlated or uncorrelated complex noises received from Telebyte’s popular Model 4901 Multi-Output Noise Simulator. This makes it ideal for testing per WT-249 (G.993.5 Self-FEXT Cancellation) or for any xDSL application that calls for flexible, dense noise generation and injection.

Service oroviders know that high speed does not always equate to high QOS unless interference in properly mitigated. Until now, some have relied upon cable farms alone for testing, leaving them unable to verify fully that complex noise has been dealt with and quality is acceptable. With Telebyte’s growing suite of test gear designed specifically for this purpose, they now have a solution to help them accelerate their vectoring rollout with confidence.
