Extreme signs distribution agreement with Westcon India

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Extreme Networks has signed a countrywide distribution agreement with The Westcon Group Inc. of India. The relationship offers nationwide solution providers and integrators in India the fastest path to high performance Ethernet switching for the converged edge, to the data center and service providers as well as rounded support throughout the sales cycle.

With this agreement, Westcon in India is distributing the full range of Extreme Networks' data networking solutions, including Extreme Networks' Ethernet switching platforms that scale from 10/100 speeds to dense 10 Gigabit Ethernet and include the award winning BlackDiamondR modular and SummitR fixed data switching families.

Extreme Networks has served the Indian market for more than a decade and has strong ties with education, manufacturers and government and telecom sector. Westcon announced its entry into India in January and has established regional locations throughout the country to satisfy strong enterprise demand for IT and networking technologies.
