TAIPEI, TAIWAN: The largest-ever technology event of the year ─ "COMPUTEX TAIPEI” is a defining tradeshow which cannot be missed. It’s returning in June 5-9, 2012 at huge momentum that’s building upon the huge strides achieved by Taiwan’s ICT industry, the show’s past successes and fresh global trade links, which include new ties with CES in Las Vegas.
COMPUTEX TAIPEI, in its 32th year, has literally grown up with the global ICT industry. Taiwan's "Research & Development Environment (R&D Environment)" ranks global 3rd (just behind the USA and Israel). And with the complement of its globally competitive IT industry, Taiwan had pushed up two numbers to rank as No. 13 in the world, ahead of Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong reports the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) in its 2011 Global IT Industry Competitiveness Survey.
In addition, Taiwan’s mobile phone brand HTC ranks 98th on the list of the 100 most prestigious brands in the world (Best Global Brands), as annually tabulated by global research firm Interbrand.
This is where COMPUTEX TAIPEI fits in! It annually strives to meet the massive need of industry for a prime marketing platform to bridge maker and market and East and West. That’s the one reason why the organizer of “COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2012”, TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council) will be hosting a pre-show press conference in Las Vegas at 2012 CES on Taiwan’s latest ICT and New products.
To better inform the international media about the exciting developments at "COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2012”, the pre-show press conference at the CES will feature a royal flush of top Taiwan manufacturers such as ASUS and Acer who premiere their latest products and brief the press on Taiwan’s hottest trends and tech.
Another feature at the press conference will be the joint signing between COMPUTEX TAIPEI and CES of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) ceremony which aims to strengthen cross-industry promotions in publicity and information exchange.
For Taiwan, this CES MOU is just one more link in a global chain of agreements, including the signing of an MOU for the second year with CeBIT and the third year with IFA. Such alliance-building has brought COMPUTEX TAIPEI a fresh synergy, especially in the European theater.
The coming COMPUTEX TAIPEI builds upon amazing growth which last year let its venue embrace five show halls to host 1,800 companies who used 5,300 booths. In five days this global endeavor attracted 36,102 international buyers from 162 countries who generated a projected $25 billion in business.
COMPUTEX TAIPEI will be held 5-9 June 2012 at NANGANG Exhibition Hall, TWTC Exhibition Halls One and Three, and also at the Taipei International Convention Center (TICC). Spotlight products at the coming event include tablet PCs, Ultrabook, smart phones, 3D technology and cloud computing. This venue strongly encourages networking at its finest via a full slate of activities and demonstrations that target the latest products, trends and technology.
