Comtech bags orders worth $12 million for RF microwave power amplifiers

MELVILLE, USA: Comtech Telecommunications Corp. announced that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom Technology Inc., has received orders aggregating $12.0 million addressing the needs of multiple customers for different applications.

The first order was for $6.7 million and was for state-of-the-art high-power Ka-band frequency amplifiers addressing the rapidly growing broadband satellite services market. The second order was for $4.0 million for Ka-band products for commercial Direct-to-Home (DTH) satellite services. The third order, which was a follow-on order, was for $1.3 million and was for high-power amplifiers supporting strategic airborne combinations.

Fred Kornberg, president and CEO of Comtech Telecommunications, stated: "We believe the receipt of these orders is a validation of our one-stop shopping approach which allows our current and prospective customers to choose from an extensive portfolio of products used in a broad-array of applications and end-markets. We continue to demonstrate our ability to successfully offer innovative products to address the unique requirements of different customers."
