NEW DELHI, INDIA: In a past decade wireless industry has seen an explosion in the demand for both voice and data services with the growth in number of mobile telephone subscribers as well as the usage rate.
Long Term Evolution (LTE) will be strongly emerge as the next generation wireless technology that will lead the growth of mobile broadband services into the next level. Its adoption by service providers around the world has the potential to generate economies of scale unprecedented by any previous generation of wireless networking technology as it becomes the universal 4G mobile platform used by both GSM/HSPA and CDMA/EVDO service providers.
Organized by Bharat Exhibitions and supported by 3GPP Supporting Industry Global Association for LTE and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI), LTE INDIA 2010 scheduled to be held on May 28, 2010 at Le Meridien, New Delhi is India’s first and only event on LTE for promoting LTE in fast growing Indian telecom industry.
LTE INDIA 2010 will offer the best business platform in the country for the telecom industry to conduct business and introduce LTE service offerings.
According to Adrian Scrase, Head of 3GPP Mobile Competence Centre, LTE INDIA 2010 will be an ideal and best platform to set the future roadmap for LTE in India.
He said: "We will encourage regulators, operators and manufacturers to be a part of LTE - the most successful mobile broadband standard. We will demonstrate that this is not just a new radio technology; there is a whole eco-system – all fully standardized and ready to go. LTE specifications give Operators a way to deliver more speed, more data and a better experience in the most cost effective way. As discussions move from ‘Why LTE’ to “When LTE”, we will put the Standards experts alongside Indian telecommunications experts to discuss the time-scales for getting this technology in to the hands of Indian users."
