NEW DELHI, INDIA: For the first time in India, to recognize and salute the Nation Builders who have contributed to the path breaking growth of Telecom Sector in India, CMAI, Communications & Manufacturing Association of India, led by NK Goyal, partnering with INFOCOM, a Businessworld initiative, and Star News as TV partners, has announced the INFOCOM CMAI National Telecom Awards 2009.
These prestigious Awards would be presented by Thiru A. Raja, Hon'ble Union Minister for Communications and IT, Government of India, on 24 July, 2009 at Hotel Le Meridian, New Delhi.
Sachin Pilot Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications & IT; Gurdas Kamat, Hon’ble Minister of State for Communications and IT; Siddharth Behura, IAS, Secretary Telecom; R. Chandrashekhar, IAS, Secretary IT; Dr. J.S. Sarma, IAS, Chairman, TRAI and Hon’ble Justice Arun Kumar, Chairman, TDSAT, have been invited to the event.
Businessworld, India ’s leading business magazine published by ABP -- publishers of Anandabazar Patrika, The Telegraph, etc., one of the largest media conglomerates in the Country has been organising INFOCOM, an annual ICT conference and exhibition. INFOCOM along with CMAI -- Communications and Manufacturing Association of India -- an apex trade and business promotion body with over 28 international MoU partners and representative offices in eight countries jointly announces the National Telecom Awards 2009.
This initiative will work with an objective towards recognizing and providing greater encouragement and impetus to the telecom players for their contribution in building a robust National Telecom Network and providing an effective means of communications.
The industry would be represented by Telecom Operators, Enterprise Solution Providers, Equipment Manufacturers, Exporters, Technology Providers, and Systems Integrators from the ICT arena. This grand event is expected to be attended by over 400 delegates and is being branded as the mother of all Telecom Events in India organized till now. The event has support of Apex Telecom, IT Hardware, Internet and Operators Association in India and international associations.
